Netflix: Who Killed Jill Dando – 26-09-2023

I was approached by Empress films to be part of the documentary on Jill Dando,  showing on Netflix.

Jill was my client for 14 years when she was tragically killed. We met in 1985 when I was working as a young hairstylist  at Michaeljon in Mayfair, a chance booking for a new client became a close and long term client relationship. When I left to open up my first salon in Knightsbridge Jill was one of my biggest supporters.

Soon after moving the salon to Mayfair, just off Bond Street, London we won Celebrity Head of the year for Jill’s Hair, it was a fun award and she was still slightly bemused by the attention she generated.

We continually developed her hairstyle, changing shapes and adding colour, over the years. to achieve her signature look, Jill loved coming to the salon, she always felt if her hair was right she could face anything, it gave her great inner confidence, she was an amazing client, a great friend and is sorely missed, a tragic waste of a great talent who loved life and was looking forward to her future.
